What does Lumecca improve?
At Tracey Bell, we can use Lumecca’s unique technology to improve the following:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Acne
- Age spots, sunspots and patches of darker skin
- Rough textured skin
- Small thread veins around the nose
- General complexion correction and rejuvenation.
How does Lumecca work?
Lumecca uses IPL technology to deliver repeated flashes of light in certain wavelengths to the area being treated. The light is absorbed by melanin in the age spots and dark freckles and by haemoglobin in the red patches. It then breaks down these areas and encourages the natural healing response of the skin to repair itself.
Lumecca uses one of the highest-end devices available, and delivers the highest energy volume possible on a specific light wavelength. Therefore, it can achieve outstanding results.
How many treatments will I need?
Repeated Lumecca treatments are needed to ensure that the pigmentation or damaged skin is removed and further skin improvement is encouraged. At Tracey Bell, we recommend a course of 3-5 treatments every 3-4 weeks to ensure the best results.
We expect your results from Lumecca treatment to last around 12 months, but this could be extended with excellent prevention and skincare maintenance. The results are not permanent as the accumulated effects of natural ageing and sun exposure appear over time. We suggest repeating the treatment once or twice a year to maintain your results.
Is Lumecca treatment painful?
Most patients do not find Lumecca treatment painful or uncomfortable. It has been likened to the feeling of someone flicking your skin or the pinging sensation from an elastic band. The treatment includes cooling tips to ensure your skin is protected.
