Long-Lasting
Dermal fillers can be temporary or semi-permanent. The most common form of dermal filler is hyaluronic acid based and commonly called Restylane, Perlane, Juverderm, Beletero or Perfectha.Different Types
The types of dermal filler used in our UK clinics are dependent on the diagnosis of condition and the specific requirements of the patient. Dermal fillers come in different types, depending on the size of the particles, longevity of gel and clinical area it should be used in.Typical Costs
The cost of the dermal filler in the UK will vary depending on which product is being used, the injector and the longevity of the product. Dermal fillers typically cost between £250-£450 per syringe.Safety & Outcome

Restylane Fillers
A hyaluronic acid-based filler of the Qmed family used to fill lines and wrinkles and to define and augment lips. It can also be used for under-eye circles. It is the most common of the Qmed products used.
Juvederm Fillers
The Juvederm ULTRA range of products is a generation of hyaluronic acid fillers from ALLERGAN, a world leader in surgical and non-surgical aesthetic products. They use a specially formulated type of hyaluronic acid (HA) that exists naturally in your skin. It’s a natural, biodegradable gel that flows easily and smoothly into your skin, instantly filling out those troublesome lines leaving a smooth and natural look and feel. So, you’ll notice an immediate difference after just one treatment.
Radiesse Fillers
Radiesse is a new generation injectable filler. Its durability and longevity is unique. Radiesse is made of very tiny microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite.
Teosyal Fillers
The full TEOSYAL® range of products consists of unique dermal fillers with differing gel densities and unique properties making each one specific to treating different areas of the face and achieve different results, from prevention of fine lines and/or wrinkles to remodeling the contour of the face. Filler is used enhance and sculpt the face in man areas, The common areas treated with dermal filler are lips, nasolabial lines, jaw, chin, cheeks and marionette lines.
Sculptra
Sculptra is used to volumise cheeks and deeper facial creases. It promotes collagen production, thickening the deep layers of the skin and producing a volumising and natural-looking rejuvenated appearance. Sculptra is a more permanent solution than a hyaluronic acid dermal filler, with results lasting up to two years. It is a long-established procedure at Tracey Bell and we provide a full, detailed consultation before treatment begins.

Dr Tracey Bell obtained a distinction in cosmetic medicine from the University of South Wales in 2022. Karen Miller RGN received her Level 7 in Botox & Non Surgical Treatment from Salford University in 2020. Their experience and knowledge spans over 18 years and extends to dermal fillers, non-surgical treatments, anti-wrinkle injections, dermatology, skin lesions, hormone therapy, weight loss and trichology.

The most commonly treated areas are:

Glossary for dermal fillers
- Cheek Volumisation
- Loss of volume during the ageing process often results in hollows in the cheeks caused by fat loss under the skin. Cheek volumisation using facial fillers can restore the cheeks’ fullness for a more youthful appearance.
- Crow’s Feet
- Crow’s feet, or periorbital rhytides, are the wrinkles that can form at the corner of the eyes over time as a result of aging, sun exposure, facial expressions, and smoking.
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance that occurs naturally in the body. It keeps skin moisturised and gives it its elasticity.
- Lip Contouring
- Lip contouring is a lip enhancement technique using injectable fillers to create an improved vermilion border to better define the lip line and produce plumper, more youthful looking lips.

- Marionette lines
- Marionette lines, or mouth lines, are vertical wrinkles that form below the corners of the mouth, giving a sad or angry look to the face.
- Nasolabial Folds
- Nasolabial folds, or smile lines, are the lines that run vertically from the sides of the nose to the corners of the upper lip.
- Smoker’s Lines
- Smoker’s lines, or vertical lines, are lip wrinkles, vertical wrinkles that form above the upper lip as a result of heredity, sun damage, and smoking.
- Static Lines
- These are deep lines you see when your face is still. Static lines are due to lack of skin elasticity caused by sun damage, smoking, and genetics.
- Facial Volumisers
- Facial volumisers come in many forms, they may be hyaluronic acid based i.e. Voluma, Volux or more permanent such as Radiesse by MERZ. A full discussion regarding the types of facial filler will always be discussed at consultation.
- Cheek enhancements
- Flatter cheeks make a face look substantially older. Cheek enhancements address flatter cheeks arising from the ageing process as well as helping those whose cheeks have always been on the flat side and are interested in improving them.
