What is PhilArt Eye?
PhilArt Eye is an injectable gel product by Croma-Pharma, which contains polynucleotides as the active ingredient. Polynucleotides are a type of molecule found naturally in our body which play an essential role in cell repair and regeneration, helping to boost the production of collagen. When used in PhilArt Eye treatment, the polynucleotides can help improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and promote a more youthful look.
What does PhilArt Eye treatment involve?
PhilArt Eye is an injectable treatment, which can be used alone or in conjunction with other facial aesthetic treatments for an incredible outcome. In a short appointment, we administer the injections into carefully planned areas around your eyes to improve hydration and radiance in this delicate area.
The treatment does need to be repeated for maximum effectiveness. We recommend three treatments, spaced at two weekly intervals, to achieve the best results.
How do Polynucleotides work?
Polynucleotides are a key component in aesthetic skincare due to their potential regenerative and anti-ageing effects on the skin. One of their main benefits is their ability to promote collagen production, the protein that gives skin its strength and elasticity. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin. Polynucleotides are believed to stimulate collagen synthesis, leading to an improvement in skin texture and appearance.
Polynucleotides are also thought to have antioxidant properties, which can help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. These are unstable molecules generated by environmental factors such as UV radiation, pollution and smoking, which can cause damage to cells. Polynucleotides can neutralise these, and may help reduce the signs of ageing.
Polynucleotides and hyperpigmentation
Polynucleotides have been shown to have potential benefits for reducing hyperpigmentation, a common condition that causes patches of skin to become darker than the skin surrounding it. Hyperpigmentation is caused by various factors, including UV radiation, hormonal changes and inflammation.
Polynucleotides may inhibit the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved with producing melanin, the pigment that gives skin its colour. This may help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation in the skin. Polynucleotides also may promote cell turnover and exfoliation, which can work to reduce hyperpigmentation. Dead cells on the surface of your skin can accumulate, leading to a dull and uneven complexion. By stimulating cell turnover, polynucleotides can help remove these dead skin cells and reveal brighter, more even-toned skin. Additionally, polynucleotides may have anti-inflammatory effects on the skin, which can help reduce the redness associated with hyperpigmentation.
Polynucleotides and inflammation
Polynucleotides are believed to have anti-inflammatory effects on the skin, which can help reduce redness, swelling and other similar symptoms. Inflammation is a complex biological response triggered by various factors, including injury, infection, and irritant exposure, and can be annoying, uncomfortable and cause a loss of confidence in many people.
Polynucleotides may work to regulate immune and inflammatory responses, promoting healing in the skin. They have also been shown to have antioxidant effects, which can also work to help reduce the signs and symptoms of inflammation.
Polynucleotides and hair growth
Polynucleotides have been shown to have potential benefits for promoting hair growth and restoration, as well as improving the overall health of hair follicles. They have also been found to have anti-inflammatory properties, and can improve blood circulation, which can in turn stimulate hair growth. Polynucleotides may also have a protective effect on hair follicles, preventing damage from environmental stressors.
It’s worth noting that while there is some scientific evidence to suggest that polynucleotides may be effective in promoting hair growth and restoration, more research is needed to understand their potential benefits and how they work fully.
