How long does composite bonding last?
Composite bonding will need to be repolished approximately six months after placement and is likely to wear and stain over time. Many patients are happy to accept composite bonding as a fast and effective solution for their dental problems.
Composite bonding is claimed to be ‘reversible’ but I do not believe this is the case. The tooth is not in the same form due to the presence of strong adhesives and the problems associated with removing these. All risks and benefits are discussed during your consultation to ensure the treatment is right for you.
