What is a chemical peel?
Chemical peels are a popular treatment, leaving smoother, more radiant skin. The results are immediately visible following the procedure. Some redness and peeling skin is expected after treatment, but your skin should be completely healed within 7-14 days.
The following skin conditions can be treated with a chemical peel:
- Acne scarring
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin pigmentation (age or brown spots)
- Sun damage
- Uneven skin texture

- Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improvement in blotchy skin, producing a vibrant, more radiant result

Obagi Blue Peel Radiance
The Obagi Blue Peel Radiance produces an excellent rejuvenating result for dull and tired-looking skin. It becomes noticeably tighter, brighter and smoother after just one treatment.
The peel uses a unique blend of salicylic, glycolic and lactic acids to give a gentle but highly effective peel. Obagi Blue Peel Radiance is also able to improve patient outcomes for a range of skin conditions, including acne, photodamage and melasma.
Rejuvenating Peel
A combination of alpha hydroxy acids, rejuvenating peels are ideal for those who wish to achieve smooth, refined and glowing skin.
The intense formula invigorates the skin using gentle fruit acids. Active papaya and grapefruit extracts exfoliate the skin and promote a youthful glow without any visible irritation. The treatment results in a firm, even skin tone.

Salicylic Peel
Salicylic peels are a great treatment for patients with acne, as they effectively clear build ups of oil around the pores which can cause acne blemishes to appear. Salicylic acid has been used on the skin for more than 2000 years and is found naturally in willow bark and wintergreen leaves, but can now be made synthetically too.
As well as acne, salicylic peels can be used to treat freckles, sunspots and hyperpigmentation. The peel itself is exfoliating and anti-inflammatory, and can be used for all skin types.
Glycolic Peel
A great peel treatment for improving the overall tone, texture and appearance of the skin, glycolic acid peels contain an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) for optimum results. Excess oil and dead skin cells are removed, allowing new skin to develop. These peels are very effective in treating acne, sun damage, dark spots and other hyperpigmentation.
For best results, glycolic peels should be repeated every one to two weeks up to a total of eight treatments. Your clinician will be able to give you a tailored recommendation based on your individual skin and desired results.

Obagi Peels
Obagi peels have again become one of the most popular aesthetic medical treatments at Tracey Bell. They complement and are synergistic with other non surgical treatments, such as anti wrinkle injections, dermal fillers or can be used alone.
The Obagi peels vary in strength and also depend on the condition you are trying to treat.
