What happens at my assessment?
At your periodontal assessment, a full ‘pocket chart’ of your remaining teeth will be provided including bleeding, probing depths, pockets and bacteria. A course of treatment may be discussed and a cost provided.
On completion of this periodontal assessment the prognosis, treatment and a maintenance programme will be discussed with you and your referring dentist. Bleeding gums, bad breath, moving teeth, tooth trapping or sensitivity are all signs of periodontal disease.
As Dr Bell advises, in order to build a ‘mansion you need good foundations’ i.e. healthy gums.
Cost of periodontal assessment typically costs £325.00.
