Whilst on holiday I often have time to think and to reflect.
Today I came across a picture of Meryl Streep 27-72.
Wow, I thought that’s growing old gracefully – how well does she look?
If you scroll through ‘Meryl Streep’ and surgery she has always denied it. Do I believe that entirely, probably not – as the jaw is sculpted, the neck is in great condition and I think she may have had help with surgical enhancements – but that is her choice and she looks fabulous.
The face shows midface fat loss – that’s normal. To me, this is better than having a face artificially overfilled with filler.
Great skin.
Moderate wrinkles on animation and of course nice lighting.
The face is in proportion.
The face is balanced.
Nothing doesn’t stand out and it all sort of fits – that’s the beauty of growing old gracefully.
Proportions, balance, a face that has lived a life.
I then watched this video of Chloe Sims, aged 40: dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/celebrity/chloe-sims-unveils-dramatic-makeover
Threads – ‘I look 21 again’!
Oh how you really don’t!
I don’t know whether to look at her over stretched, oversized teeth and smile, her cheeks that will obliterate her eyes or her face that simply does not move apart from her mouth.
The face is not in proportion.
The face is not balanced.
The skin – well so many filters I can’t tell.
Everything stands out for the wrong reasons.
Ageing is inevitable, a little bit of help always aids and prevention is better than cure.
A little botox, a little filler, a little profhilo skin peel, sun protection, even surgery (done by the very best you can find) helps in our fight against aging and ultimately the choice is yours.
Meryl Streep – I shout ‘Mamma Mia, you look beautiful’!
Chloe Sims – I shout ‘Stop, reflect and think why’!
Ageing is inevitable but we have choices to age gracefully or to age disgracefully – I’ll stick with Meryl on this one – a little, by the very best!
