CT SCANNER AT TRACEY BELL
We are so happy with our recent purchase here at Tracey Bell. Just as with everything you’ve waited for our brand new CT scanner got us all so excited when it arrived and since it’s been here we love it even more! It adds to our investment in on-site technology and assists us to improve our oral procedures at the same time increasing our efficiency throughout the practice by improving procedures planning and thereby reducing risk.
What can you, our patient expect? It allows 3D images of mouths, jaws and associated structures and using those images we can see a ‘virtual surgery’ so the treatment outcomes will be more accurately pre-determined. For procedures such as implants it allows us to look at bones more closely and the positions of nerves and teeth and for those requiring braces it allows us to locate un-erupted teeth and tooth position more accurately.
Before CT scanner’s dentists had only x-rays to rely on which don’t show things such as bone density or nerves. This scanner now allows our patients to have the dental work required started quicker, be assessed during the initial consultation and a treatment plan completed straight away, so next time you come to the see us it will be to carry out the treatment.
